Workshop on Interdependent Lifelines Risk and Regional Resilience: South Napa Earthquake Lessons Learned for the “Big One
”—BACRDR sponsored a regional training event in collaboration with Bay Area water systems, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Verizon, Caltrans, Napa City officials, and other local, state and federal agencies to examine outcomes from the South Napa Earthquake response and recovery, and actions to further Bay Area resilience.

Alameda County Energy and Other Lifelines Interdependencies Tabletop Exercise and Action Plan: Focus on Climate Change Extreme Events—BACRDR partnered with Alameda County, PG&E, FEMA Region IX, Verizon, and Alameda County Cities to develop and conduct a Tabletop Exercise on recovery from power disruptions impacting interdependent infrastructures and developed a stakeholder-validated Action Plan for incorporation into County preparedness activities.

Emergency Fuel Tabletop Exercise—BACRDR joined with the San Jose Water Company to hold an emergency fuel distribution exercise with oil distribution companies, Verizon, and the California National Guard.

Bay Area Recovery and Restoration Initiative—with the Association of Bay Area Governments, the Bay Area Council, and other stakeholders, BACRDR developed three workshops addressing disaster recovery priorities: on temporary housing, community issues, and business recovery; on lifelines interdependencies; and on healthcare, ports and airports, and other essential service providers.
